The Stars Carolinas Volleyball Club demonstrated a remarkable display of skill and competitive prowess this past weekend, competing across three tournaments: the Battle in the ‘Burg (Spartanburg, SC), the Southern Classic (Rock Hill, SC), and the K2 Elite (Sevierville, TN). Their combined performance across these events resulted in an impressive overall record of 117 wins and only 35 losses, underscoring the club’s strength and depth.
At the Battle in the ‘Burg, the Stars enjoyed considerable success on their home turf. Several teams achieved championship titles, including the 16 Philip, 14 Ady, and 12 Chastain squads. Additional strong performances included second-place finishes in the Gold division for the 17 Palmi and 15 Natalie teams, and a bronze medal for the 14 Dani team.
The Southern Classic in Rock Hill proved to be another fruitful tournament for the Stars. A dominant showing resulted in numerous championship victories across various divisions. The 18 Helle, 18 Lion, 17 Alex, 16 Amy, 15 Bing, 14 Sean, and 13 Anna teams all secured first-place finishes. Furthermore, the 16 Nicholas, 15 Tinsley, and 14 Lora teams earned commendable second-place finishes in the Gold division.
The K2 Elite tournament in Sevierville, known for its highly competitive field, presented a significant challenge. Despite the elevated competition, the 18 Kayla team distinguished itself with a commendable third-place finish, demonstrating resilience and a capacity to perform under pressure.
The combined results from these three tournaments paint a picture of a club operating at a high level. The Stars' overall record of 117 wins and 35 losses reflects the dedication and hard work of the athletes, coaches, and families associated with the program.
